Bio
Dr. Salma Karray is a professor, researcher, educator, and consultant specializing in quantitative marketing. She holds a position at Ontario Tech University in the Faculty of Business and Information Technology, where she leads the Business Analytics and AI Lab and serves as the Research Excellence Chair in Marketing Analytics and Decision Models. She previously served as the Associate Dean of Research for the faculty.
Salma’s research leverages quantitative methods, including optimization, game theory, statistics, machine learning, and AI, to enhance business performance in competitive markets. Over the past twenty years, her work has covered a wide range of marketing topics, from digital advertising and social media to pricing, retail, loyalty program management, CRM, and e-commerce. She has consulted for profit and nonprofit organizations, helping them apply data-driven strategies to achieve their goals.
Salma has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, earned numerous awards, and is a frequent speaker at academic and industry conferences.
Beyond her research, Salma is dedicated to teaching, mentoring, and community engagement. She has taught various courses in Marketing Research, Marketing Strategy, and Data Analysis and has guided many graduate and post-graduate students.
